Uva Province, located in the southeastern part of Sri Lanka, is a scenic and tranquil region made up of the Badulla and Monaragala districts. Known for its misty mountains, lush tea plantations, and cascading waterfalls, Uva offers a peaceful escape into nature and tradition.
The provincial capital, Badulla, is surrounded by tea estates and historical sites like the Muthiyangana Raja Maha Vihara. Ella, a popular hill town in Uva, is famous for attractions like Ella Rock, Nine Arches Bridge, and Ravana Falls, drawing both local and international travelers. Monaragala, the larger but more rural district, is rich in agriculture, producing rice, sugarcane, and vegetables.
